On Obama’s baggage
Mr. Obama has clearly committed a “sin” by going back to his church week after week and sitting there and listening to the racist and anti-American remarks of his former pastor, Jeremiah Wright. What he needs to do is to wash his hands clean of this “sin”: to come out and apologize and distance himself from that past. I understand that being black in America is not easy but that still doesn’t make it Ok.
The other point I’d like to make is what Frank Rich of the New York Times wrote about: the double standard that has been applied to Obama in relation to his former pastor, versus the absence of any criticism towards Mr. McCain and his relationship with the extremist evangelical endorsers.
